The Castle of Montecchio Vesponi, approximately 5 km from Arezzo, is located at the top of the hill dominating the Val di Chiana valley, with its 30-metre tall tower. Its walls extend along a 260-metre perimeter and signs of rural dwellings are still visible within them today.
